1 Piece by Scott Poole
Kaczynski the Poet
I thought the man was a poet of sorts
when he decided to hang himself
with his underwear. Hell,
I'd never thought of that.
The fact that it didn't work
seemed even more poetic.
I'll never think of my underwear
in quite the same way.
He had opened a small door,
scratched past reality a notch.
Hell, that's all I'm trying to do.
Then, the next day he walked into
the courtroom and told them
he wasn't crazy.
I'm going to have to work harder.
He's on television every night
and there's a website to find out
what his heart rate is. I can't
even get in a magazine. The victims
families wriggle in the courtroom
because of this stupid poet.
It's the kind of thing
that can drive you insane.
